Aww I missed out on all of this. I would have gave input or ask if I could submit my Sharkbites story as well. I wasn’t hyperlinked, and I don’t get on the message boards often enough, darn it – I’m going through some things. I did post the CBS panels as nycc22 highlights on all of my meetup group pages. Members are directed to buy a ticket to NYCC for the dates of the CBS panel. We just track our links and go from there. Collectively over 20,000 members are alerted of these event details which I think it a big deal of exposure.

We’ve had a couple clicks thus far. I intend to send an email campaign via my constant contact list as well to help push cbs. Can you hyperlink me in things as well, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Hey everyone, good early afternoon from rainy Philadelphia. Hope all is doing well. My son and I will be at NYCC by Saturday early afternoon and will stay until Sunday late afternoon. I’ll be packing lightly, and will bring my tripod along to tape the cbs panel(s). Let me know if there’s any other ways I can help. During July we did a really awesome job with list building by collecting emails addresses to the people who came to the ComicBook School tables. If Buddy gets a table, it’ll be great to do List Build again. Lead those interested people into a funnel as our new members base, and yt subscribers. Let’s Go CBS!

-What did you learn during your panels and presentations?
For most part, I stated to cover the cbs tables, I didn’t get the opportunity to attend any additional panels/presentations. I will watch the videos, and give a better answer once videos are shared.
-What did you learn exhibiting at the tables?
Exhibiting at the table I learned many people are willing to give feedback, offer advice, and sign up to stay connected. A good deal of individuals came to visit to share stories and have interest in the “school” part of comic books. Other surrounding exhibitors are willing to collaborate, and will share tips with each other.
-What is one good suggestion for other creators who are planning to attend a small- to medium-size convention this year?
One good suggestion for other creators who are planning to attend a convention is to have something to give/sell – rather it’s ready or not – stop wasting time of perfection, go with it. Create that conversation, have a “hook” sentence ready to engage people who walk by – do not stay looking down into your phone, bring a helper or two, make eye contact. Make a targeted clear goal, if you are going to sell your key chains, then make a how many you want to sell each our – challenge yourself. If you are going so you can network, make a number of how many people you want to meet, if you are going to collect the missing copies of your Death Stroke Comic, go knowing with catalog number you need. Planning in advance helps. Go, start list building and enjoy yourself. Don’t delay. If you didn’t go this year, start your plan today so you can attend next year – you have 10-12 months, make the best of you.

Yea, that’s a big deal. NFT’s are everywhere… in my artist group meeting last week, another member brought up NFT’s being in museums. Didn’t go into depth with details but offered an article. Just securing how much time we need would work for me, and letting me know in advance, I’m a little slower now than I had been in prior year. I don’t want to overwhelm my schedule or overlook too many task, others might feel the same. Taking on something new can be a little scary to some as well, but I’m no scardy cat! lol

Are we still offering insight for this? If so, I had made a list but didn’t get to post.
Apologies – last week was my son’s birthday (which last a week – I’m an over-doer celebrator & foxy single mom – if you need something from me – I need a week for the most part – my heart wants to be in the moment but my lifestyle rarely allows), and my brother, sister-in-law & nieces all had covid – what a feeling or 500? They are all better now. Thank goodness!

Oh yea, Coates is a great writer. I enjoy his work, and he’s been highlighted pretty well as a journalist. I wasn’t aware of Steelfreeze, but you putting me on @izmoney10000 – that’s the whole point of this here post. To Find more comic book creators of color.

Thanks for the heads up – let me know if you need me to send over shipping funds. I have no problem covering shipping expenses for my books. This is a learning experience and I don’t mind helping pay my shipping fee. I think shipping goes by weight, if you want me to send the money before or after can be up to you. Whichever is easiest, let me know. Thanks for take the lead on trying this important part! (:😀

Yes @redheadeded we can work together next week on goals and calendars. There’s a bunch of posting concepts. They say there’s really not a real “hashtag” that will excite the crowd, but there actually ways to post that can grab attention – wording, knowing trends, creating a schedule of post with both images, quotes that are funny and motivational, and leading your audience else where to do something for you. I can go on and on but we have next week for that. I have appts usually in the morning, mostly so let talk on when is best.
