New Comic Book Writing Competition
Hey all! I wanted to drop a line about our latest competition for anyone interested.
Negative Space Comics launched a Student’s Comic Book Writing Competition, which is open to any and all creators currently in school (high school, college, art school, continuing ed, etc.) including the Comic Book School! The competition runs from January 31 to April 1 with the winner getting three 1-hour mentoring sessions from comic professionals, including Jeremy Holt, writer of the 2021 breakout hit Made in Korea (Image Comics), and Teddy Leo, Editor at AfterShock Comics.
Most importantly, we did everything we could to drastically lower submission costs so students can afford to take part — each submission costs only $15!
We’d be honored to have your scripts submitted.
We believe getting one-on-one time with comic book professionals is the biggest leg-up anyone can get to thrive in the industry, and we aim to give that to as many aspiring creators as we can.
Negative Space Comics, along with our mentors and judges, want to see aspiring creators shine — we are here strictly to support, do not take any ownership of anyone’s submitted work and all rights stay in the hands of the creators.
If you have any questions, please reach out!
