Three cover options.
Really rough initial ideas.
#1, #3 are pretty similar. The difference would be the Time Inn in the foreground and the circular shape (possibly the moon) at the back.
The second one shows the two main characters racing for a snow globe in the foreground. Inside the snow globe is the Time Inn. The main thought here was to show them fighting over the Inn. The idea behind the snow globe was to suggest that they are not actually fighting for the Inn, but for what it represents. I would say secluded and serene.

I agree with you, I think it is more active and dynamic than the ‘posed back to back’ looking at the reader.. I like the action lines and the forced perspective in #2.
Looking forward to seeing the final!
